Best THCA Flower Strains to Try Right Now

THCA HOLE

Let’s talk about THCA flower.

If you’re new here, THCA is basically weed in its raw, natural state. It’s the form the plant actually grows — it only becomes THC when heated (like when you smoke or vape it). So when you’re buying THCA flower, you’re literally buying the same kind of nugs people have been smoking forever — the only difference is the way it’s tested and shipped to keep it federally legal.

Since flower is probably the most popular way to enjoy THCA, I wanted to make a quick guide on what I think are some of the best strains out there right now. I’ll keep this list updated, especially when I try something new and it deserves a shoutout.

My Favorite Place to Buy THCA Flower

I’ve tried a few different spots, but one that’s consistently impressed me is August. Their flower has good terps, hits smooth, tastes clean, and actually smells like real weed — not dry hemp pretending to be something it’s not. Top THCA Strains Worth Trying

Banana Nose Candy — Strong nose as the name suggests. Real gas. Good moisture level. One of my favorites and an August classic for a reason. Great for late afternoons when you’re done with responsibilities but not totally ready to crash. If you are an all day smoker, I also think this is a perfect morning strain for the first smoke of the day. It really kicks up the good vibes like a good haze strain due to its genetics. Black Truffles — Dark green and purple buds sticky, ripe with trichomes. One of the better "indica" THCA strains available. I’ve had this one and it’s perfect for night sessions or taking stress down a notch during the day— very chill, very heavy. click here to go directly to the strain page! Use code DANNY for 15% off!

Lemon Cherry Gelato — Consistently available and consistently fire, August is on the pulse with this strain. I've ordered this multiple times and it is consistently one of the best smokes out of their lineup. This one feels like a hybrid with just enough edge off the top. Not too sleepy, but you’ll definitely feel it. Click here to go to the strain page! Don't forget code DANNY for 15% off!

Georgia Pie — If you’re into fire terps and sweet flavor, this one’s a no brainer. Excellent mellow middle of the road high you can expect from a great hybrid. it might not hit the hardest but the taste is above average. Click here and pick up a bag. Get 15% off with code DANNY!

Apple Fritter (Smalls) — One of my favorite strains for both flavor and affordability. I like it for daytime use when i still have to get things done, its not too heavy but its nowhere near a full on "sativa" strain. These are small nugs, which are the same indoor quality at a cheaper price. I think it's amazing for the stoner on a budget or anyone with an interest in this strain. Still not 100% sure what THCA is or why it’s legal? Check out this breakdown I wrote here, it clears things up.

also:

These strains rotate more regularly so its hard to recommend a particular strain, however Crysp has a nice hand-picked selection of high quality THCA flower. Final Thoughts

Flower is the core of this whole scene. You don’t need a fancy setup — just a lighter, a bowl, and some solid nugs. If you’re only used to dispensary stuff or delta-8, trying out THCA flower might blow your mind a little. Its the same dispensary high, without the dispensary tax. Just make sure you’re getting it from a place that’s not skimping on quality.

I’ll keep this list updated whenever I come across a strain that stands out. If you’ve got any recommendations or slept-on strains I should try, hit me up.

If you’re wondering how this is even legal, I wrote a full post on THCA legality here. Spoiler: depending on the state, it could be in stores near you, however you can still have it shipped to your door in all 50 states!

The August link and the Dankstop link are affiliate links, and previously Crysp was only store credit, but they've upgraded me to an affiliate link as well. full disclosure. That being said, if you decide to use my links, you are supporting THCAHOLE.com and it's solo creator. These aren't just any recommendations - when i found out i could get these links, that's what inspired the creation of the blog, not the other way around. I order from these two stores regularly and will do more specific product reviews in the future. This is just to get the word out!

Thanks!
